Did you know? Part 2

United States Inauguration Day 2009

On Inauguration Day, January 20th, 2009; the United States National Mall saw the presence of two million people simultaneously. This in itself is a monumental achievement. The management, preparation, and synergy required to achieve this seemingly simple task was only possible through much anticipation.

To put thing into perspective for you; the 2009 estimated for the population of Kuwait is 2’985’000 people, so two million as a percentage of Kuwait’s census, means 67% of Kuwait’s population on the piece of land, stretching from Washington Monument to the United States Capitol Building with an area around 10 times the size of The Avenues Mall or roughly 5 million square meters.

Q. Do you think we can organize this number of people in a space of land that big?
Can we bring 67% of our population and stand somewhere for hours to hear the Amir give a speech?
